The stressful life that we lead has created lot of ill feeling and depression among us. Our health has becomes the most affected because of the stress and created a vicious circle that makes a never ending cycle. So, can this jinx be broken and how can we come out from this. The new era mantra for this is Self care and it is believed that self care will play an active role to break the glass of the vicious circle. The practice of taking an active role in protecting one’s own well-being and happiness, in particular during periods of stress is called self care.

The inspiring life brings you with the ten steps to perform self care and keep ourself stress free:

  1. Starting a Morning Routine.

In this fast-paced, go-go-go world that we live in, there is no time with us just for yourself. The morning time is a vital time and can act as a game-changer if we try to acquire a new morning habit.  How we choose to spend that time is totally our call! The most important habit we can inculcate in the morning is early waking, say waking up at 6 am, going for a walk, meditation etc.

2.Enjoy your day with Exercise

Again, this is a matter of inculcating habit of doing daily dose of exercise. This not only improves the physical health but will also keep us mentally well. We can really develop this habit which is not only a dreaded but is also feared upon. The more we avoid this habit, the more we will fail to come out of the jinx.

3.Eat a healthy and nourishing Meal.

Fueling your body with real, whole foods is one of the best ways to take care of your physical health. Take a trip to your local farmer’s market to pick up some seasonal produce, and cook yourself a scratch-made nourishing meal. Make it special by setting the table or perhaps buying yourself a fresh bouquet of flowers. You deserve it!

4.Meditate

At the time when you are under stress, it may be difficult for you to concentrate on your job or on whatever you are doing. This affects your mental health adversely. The matter needs to be controlled and there is nothing better than practicing meditation. Try quieting your mind by practicing meditation – aimed toward helping you become more clearheaded, calm and self-aware. Start simple by practicing deep breathing, unplugging for your lunch break, or giving walking meditation a go.

5.Get Your Beauty Sleep

Getting enough sleep is a great first step in taking better care of yourself – and your wellness. After all, research has shown that sleep and mental health go hand in hand. Choose calming activities and limit electronics before bed to help you wind down at night.

6.Do a Health Checkup

While you’re at it, check in on your physical health too — and we’re not just talking about your annual physical. Just check out about your diet, your weight and all other aspects which may help keep your physical health intact. If you’re looking for a wellness reboot, consider working with a nutritionist or functional doctor to address your unique needs. You can also speak to your health practitioner about what supplements would work best for your body – be it probiotics, immune support or a high-quality daily vitamin.

7.Start a New Hobby

Have you been itching to learn something new? If you’re looking to shake things up and spark your creativity, picking up a new hobby is a great place to start. Try your hand at painting or photography, or perhaps even start a blog as a way to creatively express yourself.

8. Pamper Yourself

As we mentioned, self-care isn’t just about glamorous trips to the spa and expensive splurges, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do things that make you feel better about yourself. Go ahead and pamper yourself with a hot bath with essential oils, DIY face mask or at-home mani-pedi. Remember: Self-care is not selfish.

9. Grab a Cuppa Coffee with your friends.

Its an old saying “ All work and no play makes jack a dull boy”. So you should find out a time to have a coffee with your friend and pour out your heart with all the things you wanted to share. This will relieve you and detoxify you.

10. Take a Break

You should take care to have a break while you are exhausting yourself fully. This will be a good detoxification of your physical and mental health. For taking a break you can go out for a short sojourn or plan a mini retreat at some outskirts or place.
